SME TEC Ltd. has been manufacturing GSM gas detectors for several years.
Below one can see examples of integrated solutions based on GSM and successfully operated at the facilities of the largest oil field of oil companies in Russia and neighboring countries.
GSM gas detectors are used at oil and gas facilities including main pipelines as well as chemical, petrochemical, oil refinery and other branches of industry.

Gas contamination control system based on GSM-05 for polymerization unit for polypropylene production
Basic Functions
- Continuous monitoring of hazardous concentrations of vapors of flammable gases and fluids and their mixtures of IIA, IIB, IIC categories and Т1, Т2, Т3, Т4 groups as per GOST 51330.5-99, GOST Р51330.11-99 in explosion hazardous areas of premises of all classes and outside facilities and open spaces as per Chapter 7.3 of PUE, using thermal chemical technique with temperature ranges from minus 60 to plus 50 °С
- Mandatory recording of gas contamination accidents
- Generating two alarm thresholds for each line, alarm level for each is to be setup by the user within ranges from 0 to 50% of lower inflammability level
- Generating analogue signals (4-20) mA proportional to the gas concentration value in % of lower inflammability level The load connected to the current output of the alarm unit can not exceed 350 Ohm.
- Issue of control digital signals into external circuit for each control point, blocking up the power supply to the equipment in case the detector is switched off or issue of signals about the state of the detector into external circuit which will provide the switch on of emergency ventilation reaching a certain level of concentration (Threshold 1, Threshold 2).
