BI-M4 Interface Unit
It provides connection to remote control systems and PCS of electric drives and other devices equipped with CAN exchange interface.

BI-M4 provides the connection with the remote control systems, PCS of electric drives and other devices equipped with CAN exchange interface.

BI-M4 provides data collection, storage and exchange with devices connected through CAN bus ot IRPS interface and forwards this data to the upper level through RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces with Modbus RTU exchange protocol. 

BI-M4 has the special mode for diagnostics and setup of various data exchange parameters (such as transfer rate through different channels, range of slave devices etc). The unit is setup through one of RS-232 channels.

 

Basic Technical Parameters

BI-M4 possesses 2 channels for consecutive data transfer and receipt (channel 0 and channel 1) and supports the following interfaces:

  • Dual-redundant CAN-bus (ISO 11898, CAN 2.0 A/B) with transfer rate up to 1 Mbit
  • Two RS-232 channels
  • Two RS-485 channels
  • IRPS inteface (current loop)

All interfaces are provided with galvanic isolation for 1500 V DC.
