28-29 June, 2012 the open meeting on the theme of "Rail Differential Heat Treatment According to Up-to-Date Standards by TEC-DT Technology" was held on SME TEC Ltd. the premises.
Participants of the meeting organized by specialists of SME TEC Ltd. were representatives of OOO EVRAZ Holding, OAO EVRAZ NTMK, ОАО EVRAZ ZSMK, ОАО ChMK, ООО UK Mechel-Steel, ОАО UIM, ОАО VNIIZh, FGUP VNIIChermet, ООО RSP-М, ОАО RZhD, IFPM SO RAN, ООО Magnit-М.
Organizers of the meeting showed the enterprise and manufacturing capacities of the company to the guests. Presentation of semiproduction experimental plant of Rail Differential Heat Treatment (TEC-DT) took place on SME TEC site, where heat treatment of rail of 13 m in length produced by ZAO NTMK was demonstrated.
Papers of specialists of Tomsk Electronic Company, Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant and VNII Rail Transport on the theme of proposed TEC technology of rail differential heat treatment were presented during the meeting. And the scientific and technical discussion regarding potential of the use of new technology was held.
The Protocol containing recommendations for metallurgical enterprises to consider the possibility to use TEC-DT unit for rail differential heat treatment, extent technical cooperation with SME TEC Ltd. as well as carry out ground tests of sample batch on VNIIZhT test ring was signed according to the results of the meeting.
