On 7th -9th of October the Rail Commission took place in Novokuznetsk city.
At this meeting the technical director of Tomsk Electronic Company Sergey Khlyst had presented results of development of TEC-DT technology of heat treatment of railway rails.
Since the last meeting of the Rail Commission that took place one year ago, specialists of Tomsk Electronic Company supplied a commercial unit for differentiated heat treatment of rails from rolling heat with capacity of 300 000 t / year for Kardemir A.S., company (Turkey).
The second important aspect was to optimize that technology for continuously welded rails with the length of 800 meter. The feasibility study for its commercial introduction has already been prepared and submitted to Russian Railways (OAO RZhD).
Another possible application of the TEC-DT technology, which reported S.V. Khlyst, was differentiated heat treatment of point rails. Now it is under preparation a new GOST standard which contains new greater requirements to service life of point rails. The TEC-DT technology allows complying with these requirements.
Developments of SME TEC Ltd., are recommended by Rail Committee for consideration and implementation in domestic metallurgical works, rail welding plants and point rail factories within the Russian Federation and the countries of the Custom Union.
