Packaged Supply of Batching Equipment and PCS for Polypropylene Powder and Additives Batching to P-131 Extruder

Purpose of System Development

The system is aimed for batching and feeding of polypropylene powder and additives to extruder P-131.

The developed integrated technical devices can be used for multi-component continuous batching, monitoring of polypropylene powder and additives feeding to some other extruders.

Description of Automation

The process facility to be controlled is a division for polypropylene powder and additives batching into extruder P-131, consisting of the following components:

• 4 storage bins
• 2 batchers PD-1027, PD-1043 with a star feeder, their capacity makes from 350 up to 3500 kg/h and from 150 up to 1500 kg/h respectively
• Batcher PD-1042 with vibrating feeder, its capacity makes from 15 to 150 kg/h
• Batcher PD-1036 with auger feeder, its capacity makes from 4.5 up to 45 kg/h

System Functions

The system provides the following:

• Interactive data exchange with the operator under all operation modes
• Displaying monitored operation parameters for all subsystem in digital displays and curves, color displays aimed to indicate emergency, ultimate and regular state
• Change in the recipe, capacity correction, video monitoring of mix preparation
• Equipment diagnostics, setting batching parameters
• Data exchange with other subscribers

Design

The system is based on logic controller Momentum by Schneider Electric.
